Dutch Tourists Interested in Village Tour

Sleman, Jogjatrip.com – The beauty and natural view of Yogyakarta villages turn out very attractive to foreign tourists, especially those from Holland. As many as 30 Dutch tourists enjoyed a village tour by bike on Sunday (4/24), going from Sambisari Temple in Purwomartani to Prambanan Temple.

Not only did the village tour provide fresh air and cool, green panorama in the villages, it also allowed the tourists to see people’s activities in the village.

Head of Yogyakarta Tourism Service Tazbir Abdullah welcomed the idea of taking tourists around villages with a positive response as he believed it would bring a positive impact on Yogyakarta tourism as a whole. “Apart from encouraging them to stay longer in Jogja, the village tour can become an alternative beside conventional tourism,” said Tazbir to Jogjatrip in his office, Monday (4/25).

According to Tazbir, the village tour could become a model for an environment-friendly package tour while pushing Yogyakarta to be a safe and comfortable tourist destination in Indonesia. Thus, stakeholders and professionals in the province should support the effort and together promote Yogyakarta to International scene.***(Eko Wahyu)
